If you're on Twitter daily, you probably noticed an influx of hate-tweets directed to Karrueche Tran in the past few days, after she read an insensitive joke about Blue Ivy's hair while on BET.
Following the MTV VMAs, where Blue Ivy stole the show simply by clapping her hands along to her mom's performance, BET's 106 & Park ran a segment where they did "Six Things Blue Ivy Was Thinking During The VMAs."
One item that made the list referenced the fact that Blue Ivy's got a bit of an ungroomed afro going on, with Karrueche saying, "'I really did wake up like this because my parents never combed my hair.'" She quickly added, "Sorry, Blue! I love you!" However, the damage was done, and Beyonce's loyal fanbase proceeded to go in on Karrueche after the show aired.
Chris Brown's girlfriend offered her own apology via Twitter and Instagram saying she didn't write the script, but now Stephen Hill, the president of music programming and specials for BET Networks, has also issued an apology for the comment via his Twitter. Read the tweets below as well as the clip from 106 & Park.
Now y'all know I LOVE me some Beyoncé and Blue Ivy! I didn't write this script y'all lol

(4/4) Oh, and please don’t hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We also apologize to her for putting her in that position.

(2/4)We apologize publically to the child’s parents (and have done so privately) and we have taken punitive actions with those responsible.

(1/4) Last night on 106 & Park there was a stupid, unthoughtful joke made about a young child.
