Singer Shakira Reveals Baby-to-Be's Gender… It's a Boy!

Boy, oh baby! Shakira, who announced last month that she is pregnant with her second child, will be mom to another son.

The Colombian singer, 37, who first confirmed the news of her second pregnancy to Spanish Cosmopolitan in late August, said in the same interview that she and boyfriend Gerard Pique are expecting a boy.

 "The sexy singer admits Milan will have a little brother soon," the publication wrote in its September issue tease.

Shakira's parents Nidia Ripoll and William Mebarak Chadid also shared the baby's gender with Hola! magazine on Tuesday, Sept. 9. "We're very happy," the grandparents said. "She's having another baby boy — a playmate for Milan."

After her pregnancy reveal, the "Hips Don't Lie" sensation took to Twitter to graciously thank fans for their well-wishes. She wrote on Aug. 28, "The Pique-Mebarak family is still growing!"
